Moscow: Lamoda, the leading online fashion & lifestyle destination in the CIS, and the largest aggregators of charity projects “Dobro Mail.ru” and “Need help” , have together launched a new category, “I Want to help” on the Lamoda platform.
The new category includes T-shirts, hoodies, shopping bags, mugs and a range of other products from charitable funds. All information about the project is presented on the Lamoda landing page, or via a separate “I Want to help” tab on the site and in the app. All profits from the sales of products in this new category will go to the fund that provided the product.
“The COVID-19 pandemic pushed us to launch the “I Want to help” category. It’s always important to unite and help one another, but especially in difficult times such as these. By purchasing products from charitable foundations, our customers can not only purchase items with excellent design, but also express their solidarity with charitable organizations. Funds, in turn, receive additional financial support and can devote more time to their work, because Lamoda takes all the care associated with the sale and storage of goods. It’s very important for us that all funds presented on Lamoda are proven and reliable – our partners are responsible for this – ” Dobro Mail.ru “and “Need help ” – says Oksana Kostiv, Corporate & Social Responsibility Manager at Lamoda.
Only those charitable foundations that have been able to prove their effectiveness, transparency and reputation are participating in the project. They are already represented on the “Dobro Mail.ru” and “Need help” platforms, and have been verified by lawyers, security, financial control and compliance at Lamoda. Special terms of cooperation have been developed for funds, and Lamoda also consults with funds to facilitate their access to the e-Commerce market.
“Participation in charity is not a special mission, but a completely normal activity. We hope that with the launch of this new project on Lamoda, good deeds will become a pleasant addition to shopping, and the number of people who help solve social problems easily through technology, will increase. In addition, the project will help non-profit organizations to become more stable and find new supporters” – adds Alexandra Babkina, Head of the Dobro Project Mail.ru”.
“It’s not an exaggeration to say that the “I Want to help” project is a breakthrough in the sale of goods for non-profit organizations. Thanks to the partnership with Lamoda and the use of the online platform infrastructure, funds have new channels of implementation to help them become more sustainable. This means that more people will eventually be able to get help. We are glad to partner with that Lamoda on this project as one of the first verified organizations together with Dobro Mail.ru. It’s great that such an initiative exists, and it has opened up new opportunities for the charity sector to develop even further,” says Sofia Zhukova, Director of Fundraising at the Need help Foundation.
Currently, there are products from the Leukemia Foundation under the brand “Leikozu.net”, Code of Good (created by Mail.ru Group) as well as, “Need help” and “Such things” funds – together there are more than 60 product SKUs in total. In the near future, Lamoda expects to add even more products from other charitable organizations. Lamoda also plans to add new product categories that meet the customer’s demand for conscious consumption.
