Kuala Lumpur – ZALORA, Asia’s Online Fashion Destination will be participating in the Micro and SMEs E-commerce Campaign (MSMEs E-commerce Campaign), an initiative by the Government via Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC). which was launched on 30th June. The initiative falls under PENJANA’s economic recovery plan to revive local businesses affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. The objective is to sustain operations while enhancing productivity and encouraging the adoption of e-commerce by local sellers.

Consumers have taken to online shopping in the time of COVID-19, and the MSMEs E-Commerce Campaign aims to support the growing and sustainable ecosystem, which is in line with the Malaysian digital transformation agenda. Through the Shop Malaysia Online campaign which will kick off in August, ZALORA will utilise its platform to encourage consumption by offering government co-funded e-vouchers. Going beyond the limitless world of fashion, ZALORA also offers categories spanning essential supplies, home and electronics, cosmetics and beauty, kids, and more.

ZALORA aims to onboard 300 sellers and over 2,000 MSMEs to benefit from the incentives in conjunction with the campaign, which runs until the end of September. To help these local businesses transition to e-commerce, ZALORA will offer its support and expertise across areas, including operations, marketing and strategy. By uplifting local businesses and expanding their business to online channels, more new online customers are expected to convert from this campaign. With mechanics that involve minimum spending, the goal is to increase the value of spend to help invigorate the economy.
