Australia-based tech startup Hello Tailr will provide the online service, giving customers across Australia easy access to professional tailoring to help them get the perfect fit and extend the life of their favourite pieces.
Launching as a scalable pilot, the service will initially focus on simple alterations such as shortening and basic repairs for trousers and jeans. Customers can book and pay online via Hello Tailr, send in their items, have them professionally altered or repaired and returned in just a few clicks*.
Hello Tailr partners with local social enterprises such as The Social Outfit, Second Stitch and The Social Studio to undertake the professional tailoring.

Additionally, innovative Australian brand Re/lax Remade is the first upcycled brand to join THE ICONIC’s platform.
- Alterations & Repairs *NEW SERVICE*: Australian-based tech startup, Hello Tailr, now offers THE ICONIC’s customers access to professional tailoring and mending services, initially for simple alterations to trousers and jeans, such as hemming or seam repairs. Hello Tailr partners with local social enterprises such as The Social Outfit, Second Stitch and The Social Studio to undertake the professional tailoring, supporting vulnerable communities through training, ethical wages and job opportunities. Priced between $7 and $50 (excluding two-way postage) the repairs and alterations service is now available here.
*Alterations and repair services are estimated to take 5 business days excluding shipping timeframes which can vary based on customer location. Customers are able to send items purchased on THE ICONIC or elsewhere. The service is currently available to Australian customers only.
