Luxembourg: Global Fashion Group (GFG) announces the appointment of John Baker to the Group’s Supervisory Board and as member of the Audit, Remuneration and Sustainability Committees, effective from 1 January 2023.
John has spent a large part of his career with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), where he most recently served as Lead Relationship Partner and Group Audit Partner, up to his retirement in 2020. Over time he has also held positions across a wide range of sectors on various Board and Audit Committee roles.
John’s business and auditing experience, brings decades of expertise to GFG across a wide range of international groups in both developed and emerging markets, including GFG’s geographies. Further, his extensive experience across retail, technology and ESG in particular, bring further functional aptitude and knowledge of GFG’s sector, which strongly complement the existing individual capabilities of the GFG Supervisory Board members.
Additionally, Carol Shen, current member of the GFG Supervisory Board, has been appointed Chair of the Sustainability Committee and member of the Nomination Committee as of 1 January 2023.
After almost four years of service, on 1 January 2023, Victor Herrero, stepped down from the GFG Supervisory Board to focus on his other executive and non-executive roles.
