Dafiti, part of Global Fashion Group (GFG), today celebrates 7th place in the FTIB – Fashion Transparency Index Brazil 2021. The report is carried out by Fashion Revolution, analysing, evaluating and ranking the 50 biggest brands in the sector according to their social and environmental policies, practices and impacts along the entire value chain. Committed to revolutionizing the fashion ecosystem, Dafiti, the biggest fashiontech in Latin America remains among the top 10 brands with the highest score in the index, for the second consecutive year.
“We celebrate this result, especially given the evolution in the transparency level that Dafiti has achieved over the last year. We understand transparency as a common thread in our value chain and we continue in this collective effort for the common good of fashion”, says Cristiano Medeiros, Head of Sustainability.
Cristiano explains that 2021 marks a continuous evolution in Dafiti’s sustainability journey, in line with the sustainability vision addressed in the “People and Planet Positive Report” from Global Fashion Group – Dafiti’s parent company. “This year we announced our sustainability goals divided into 5 pillars, which involve ethical trade, environment, community, work environment and diversity, inclusion and belonging”.
For customers, one of the main initiatives that reflects Dafiti’s sustainability agenda is Dafiti Eco, which allows them to shop in line with their sustainability values by combining thousands of items – including footwear, apparel, accessories and beauty, which fulfill specific sustainable criteria. “The advance in the FITB general score reinforces our effort and commitment not only to the sustainability agenda, but also to an active role in informing, engaging and making our clients aware of the topic. Transparency is a powerful way for this change and an indication of the respect we have to our consumers, suppliers and partners”, reinforces Medeiros.
